Because Alpacas are herd animals, we won't sell just a single animal unless the buyer already has other Alpacas or Llamas.
Wethers are castrated males - this means they are more docile as they mature and they make great pets.
We normally wether our boys at around 10 or 11 months and include the cost of wethering in the purchase price. They are also halter trained so you can take them for walks around your property!
The more handling they get the more friendly they will become.
Females are used for breeding and are usually offered already mated. Often, the price will also include the current cria-at-foot - a '3-in-1' package.
